Why HamiYami
The neighborhood dinner, rethought.
How it was, what doesn't work today, and how we want to bring it back to the table. With the numbers from our demo.
Chapter 1 of 3
How it was
Good food travelled only a few metres.
Once, there was the kitchen next door.
An extra tray on Sunday, a sauce that stretched to two families: in the neighborhood, home cooking was shared with the people who lived nearby.

Good cooks had a name.
Everyone knew whom to ask for meatballs and whom for fresh pasta. Word of mouth was the shop window, and trust came from knowing each other.

You knew what was on your plate.
Ingredients, cooking times, “is there milk in it?”: you just asked the person who cooked it.

Chapter 2 of 3
How it is now
The kitchens are still there. It's the neighborhood that got lost along the way.
Time
Weekday evenings are short.
People get home late, and the choice is often between cooking while tired and ordering from far away, without knowing who made the dish.
Hidden talent
Talent stays shut indoors.
Plenty of people cook brilliantly but have no simple way to offer a few portions to their neighbors.
Transparency
Price doesn't tell the whole story.
Two dishes at the same price can be very different portions: without a weight or volume, comparing is guesswork.
Trust
Trust is hard.
Allergens, who cooked it, when to collect: the information you need most is often exactly what's missing.
- Allergens?
- Who cooked it?
- When do I collect?
These are the problems we want to solve: the pilot will tell us how much they really weigh.
Chapter 3 of 3
How we solve it
A neighborhood menu, reserved ahead, collected close to home.
A weekly neighborhood menu.
